Questions?

We’re here to answer it.

Is a roof top tent fit on any car?

Not every car can take a rooftop tent, but most vehicles with the right setup can.
✔️ Roof load capacity:
Your car’s roof (or crossbars) must be able to support the weight of the tent + people inside. Check your vehicle’s manual for its dynamic load limit (usually lower than static).

✔️ Strong roof rack / crossbars:
You need a sturdy roof rack system rated for rooftop tents. Many stock systems aren’t strong enough on their own.

✔️ Vehicle type:
SUVs, trucks, and many wagons are ideal. Some smaller cars can still work if their roof and rack are rated properly, but always verify specs.

Bottom line:
A rooftop tent can fit many cars—but you must confirm your vehicle’s load capacity and install the right rack before mounting one.

Where are made the roof top tents?

Rooftop tents are made in several regions around the world, depending on the brand and quality level:

China: The majority of rooftop tents are manufactured here, including many well-known brands. Production ranges from entry-level to very high-quality, depending on materials and quality control.

South Africa: Often considered the birthplace of modern rooftop tents, South Africa produces premium, expedition-grade models.

Australia: Known for rugged, off-road–focused designs built for extreme conditions.

Europe & North America: Some brands assemble or manufacture tents locally, usually at a higher price point, with a focus on premium materials and craftsmanship.

In short: Rooftop tents are made worldwide—the difference isn’t just where they’re made, but how they’re designed, built, and tested.

Can I use a rooftop tent in winter?

Yes. Many tents are four-season capable, especially when paired with insulated mattresses, thermal liners, or portable heaters (where supported).

Do I need to remove the tent when not in use?

Not necessarily. Many people leave their rooftop tent mounted year-round, though removing it can improve fuel economy and reduce wear.
